- Organization information: organization name and type (for schools and tutoring centres).

- Usage data: worksheets completed, scores, completion times, and progress history.
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — retained for security and service improvement.
- Cookies: session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide, personalise, and improve the Service (e.g., grade-appropriate worksheet recommendations).
- To track student progress and generate reports for parents and educators.
- To send transactional emails (account creation, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without explicit consent.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Children's Privacy
KineticScholar is an educational platform designed for students of all ages. We take children's privacy seriously and apply heightened protections for users under 16.
Age requirements & parental consent
- Children must be at least 16 years old to create an account independently.
- Children under 16 may only use the Service when a parent or guardian creates an account and adds them as a child user, or through an authorized educational organization.
- By creating a child account, a parent or guardian consents to the collection of their child's information as described in this policy.
Data protections for children
- We do not sell or share children's personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing.
- We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the educational Service.
- Parents may request to review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us.
- Children's accounts are not visible in public directories.
COPPA (United States)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from your child under 13 without your consent, please contact us immediately.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Within the platform: student progress data is visible to linked parent accounts and authorized organization administrators.
- Service providers: we may share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, email delivery), under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of KineticScholar, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or preventing fraud). Worksheet completion records may be retained in anonymised form for service improvement.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
